Our Kitchen is

Here is a time and picture description of our kitchen reno.

We start off by purchasing a kitchen faucet (I blame Kenny)

It was a lovely Delta faucet and our old one was a mess. Kenny found a great deal an dared to bring it home. Since it was such a nice faucet and the kitchen was so ugly we were "forced" to take a trip to Rona.

So the time was right to take out the old. . . .

I hear you asking, Where did the kitchen go?

Well. . . to the office of course

Ray was here and added an extra outlet for the appliances.

Back to work now

Here comes RONA with our brand new kitchen!

And here is the sitting room full of kitchen.

Now comes the time to get to work and get everything ready to get that lovely kitchen into the kitchen.

Mary sanded off the walls where the sink was.

Monica got to work on the ceiling

Now we rip out the old baseboards

Kenny got to work on the plumbing. Although we had a short opportunity the photographer thought better of taking the "plumber" picture.

I really thought that such a picture could cost me "dearly".

It was getting late and we needed water so Kenny devised this plan to hold the sink until the new cabinet goes in.

Sunday, time to paint.

We started to measure the first cabinets but ran into a question or two that caused us to stop until we can ask someone who knows "stuff"

Ah well that is it until at least Tuesday when we can get info from RONA.

I guess this means we will have to take Thanksgiving off

Not such a bad idea after all.

Here we are back again. After some added information Kenny was back at it and our kitchen is beginning to take on a little more shape.

There it is . . . .

The very first cabinet intalled and reay to go.

On to the "scary" sink cabinet next.

Not so scary says Kenny. It is in, it is dry it is PERFECT.

I never doubted you Kenny!

And now dismantle the temporary sink holder

As you can see Kenny only trusts me with demolition work, smart guy that Kenny.

Now moving right along there are suddenly four cabinets and one entire side of the room is installed.

A little sweeping to get the stove back in place.

Here we go with the upper cabinets this weekend

There seems to be no shortage of supervision as Kenny (lonely worker) slugs away.

Not to excuse myself, I of course was playing photo journalist while Kenny was the only worker.

Wow. First cabinet is in and perfect.

This is not really true. Mary has been a terrific friend and the hardest worker at this project but these particular pictures seem to show Kenny working and the rest of us watching so I thought I would put them in here for fun.
